Summer Collective Haul #1

Hi Lovess! So what have I been buying since the failure of Project 10 Pan?? Well for starters this is my most recent batch. I've actually accumulated much more withing the past 2-3 months of not posting but I don't remember what I have shown and what I have not. I started taking pictures but then I always leave a whole bunch out so I fail once again! T___T But I'll try to get all of the new stuff together. Or just start doing reviews on them haha, simple enough.

ANYWHOOO. I purchased all of these sometime last week during the memorial day weekend and the week before. You probably have noticed that some of the stuff are from the MAC To the Beach collection. I totally forgot when the collection was released so I missed out on the Marine Life Highlighter Boohooo. Oh wells. I think I'd feel that it's too pretty for me to use so I'd never use it and you all know how much makeup I have accumulating ALREADY. haha So I'm not too heartbroken about Marine Life. The rest of the stuff I got at a CCO outlet nearby (actually, like 1hour away -___-). I'm trying out a new format for my pictures now that I'm making my comeback posts haha. Let me know how you like them! :)

And as requested, Swatches! :)
I bought both the NC30 and NC25 of the MAC Moistureblend Select SPF15 foundation because I'm inbetween shades right now because I actually tanned for once in the bahamas (wooo~ from NC20 to NC30~ish SOOOOOOO muchhhhh difference lol).

More swatches, under a slightly different lighting and gently blended out. :)

I do realize that I bought a lot of face make up, well face products in general so I have a while to go before I get to reviewing them all O_o. Hahah oh man, what have I gotten myself into. But it's okay, expect reviews on a few of these things. Face makeup will be slower obviously but none the less keep a look out for those :)

LONG TIME NO POSTTTT!! Sorry lovelies! I've been in and out of phases. A lot has gone on since the last time I posted. Here's just a tiny-weenie update on my life. Nothing really make-up related except for 10pan fail once again haha.

It's now officially summer vacayyy!
Summer classes has begun. But I'm not taking any hard classes because...
I GOT INTO NURSING SCHOOOLLLLLLLL!! Yayy no more stress from pre-reqs and waiting for the acceptance/rejection letter to come.
I rewarded myself by buying makeup.
Project 10pan never reached 10pan before I purchased makeup. I did however reach ~5-6 empty products haha closer than last time
I went to the Bahamas with the BFF to celebrate and relax from a stressful semester
I got a $2 raise at my job. (haha HR's objective is to keep me working through nursing school.....meh, I'll think about it)
Purchased many make up related objects but over a span of time. I'll slowly introduce them into the blog via reviews/collective haul posts.

That's pretty much what has happened in my life in the 2-3months that I've dropped off the face of this blog. haha how sad. I MISSED YOU ALLLLLL. AND THEREFOREEEEE.......

Spirited Tutorial!

Woah! 2 days in a row, I'm on a roll with updating! Well.....I guess that's all thanks to not paying attention in class + laptop so.... Anways, I think I've completed my new tutorial format. There's still a few tweaking to do for different situations like if I were to post a whole face tutorial but I'll work on that when it the scenario comes up. So here is the tutorial! The lighting's a little off and washed out because I did it at night and with my webcam because it's easier for me but I'll try to make a tutorial that's been done during the day with GOOD lighting.....or just suck it up and use my digital camera. T___T So I hope you enjoy! Let me know how you like this new format. It's a lot easier for me to make so if it all works out I'll keep this format and make more tutorials! :D

Ack! Sorry for not posting in son long. I know I said I was going to keep it consistent but....I really don't have any excuses. I just got too lazy to edit picture :(
I did try to make a tutorial but it's only half way done and I started getting annoyed with my tutorial format so I spent some time thinking of a good tutorial format that's not too time consuming to make. I've finally come up with one! But it's still in the works so when I get that finalized I will be post much more tutorials! Now if only my pictures would come out the same angle.......haha
Anyways I've reached 50+ followers! That you all for sticking by with me despite my sporatic posts and lack there of. I'm going to do a giveaway but since I'm on Project 10pan, I've forbidden myself to go to any cosmetic stores/counters, I'm not even allowed to wander into the cosmetic section of my local drugstore! Too many temptations. I did once but I almost left with 5 unecessary items. Good thing I managed to shove them all back before I PAID for them. EEeekkk. But I WILL find a way to host a giveaway so please bear with me for a little longer! I promise it'll happen very soon!

So here are my favorite revisited items for the Month of February! Mini reviews will follow the pics :)

Revlon Photoready Foundation (pppssshhh I almost typed Phoundation -____-): I have a review of this already a few posts back. I have this foundation in 003 and 004. I'm right in the middle so I mix them both to get my perfect shade. Overall I'm very happy with this foundation. I always get comments on how I looks really pretty that day (what, I don't NORMALLY look pretty!? lol jk) even if I'm just wearing liner, mascara and the foundation. In the light it's still super bling though so I'm still not to fond of that but it's okay. It's only if you look really close
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: I used to think this made me look cakey and chalky but to mattify my t-zone when I get oily it's really nice so I started to use it to set my LF, even though I said in my LF review I don't need a setting powder, it's just nice to have one. It makes me feel better and it makes the oilies stay away longer. I'm not sure what color I have but is is FAINTLY darker than my skin but not by that much so it's okay if I use a lighter hand and don't use that much.
Nars Orgasm and Laguna Blush/Bronzer duo: I love the laguna side. The blush side I'm not too fond of. It might just be me but I can never get any of the color pigmentation to go on my skin. I love the color but it just takes a lot of work for me to get the pigmentation that I like. I wish I had the bronzer side alone because Laguna is such a nice bronzer for my skin tone. It's not orangy and it works great for cheek contouring, not necessarily for the nose because it's a tad bit warm and not grey toned enough for that but I don't contour my nose so that's okay.
Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing undereye concealer: I believe this is a new product so it's not on the website yet but I really like this. It's super moisturizing so it won't dry out my under eye area like the Revlon beyond natural one, I think it's the one with the really shatty illuminator. Yeap, hate that, but love this. The color works great with my skintone and it's super easy to blend! I just wish that the applicator was different, maybe like a little roll ball type thing. It's a very narrow squeeze tip. You only need a little but it squeezes WAYYYY too much out. And since I man handle my make up......:(
IPKN Multi-Make up Finish Primer: My first primer! This really evens out my skintone before I apply makeup. Remindes me somewhat of a more sheer version of BB Cream. The lasting power of this is okay, not super amazing but I use it for the fact that it helps my make up blend in and covers my pores fairly well.

Illamasqua Eye Liner Cake in Mislead: Haha you can see the pothole I made on the bottom right corner! But I've been using this for the past few months and I'm really suprised that I've ONLY made a pothole THAT sized. I use water as an activator so it's not water proof but even with water as the activator it lasts super long! Both on my bottom and top lashline too! I love that you can control to definition of the line that you make with the amount of water, more smudgy line = less water, more defined = more water. It took some time to get used to but I'm really really glad I stuck through because this has rapidly risen to the top of my HG Eyeliner list.
Illamasqua Brow Cake in Vehement I love this for the color! It's not too red toned. It's actually more of a Grey brown so it works well with my current hair color! Love love loveee
Stila Eyeshadow in Starlight: I bought this on impulse when ULTA had a 20% coupon that was applicable to UD and Stila products. Reminds me of a powder version of kitten except it's lighter. I've been using this as an inner corner color for the past few weeks and I like it a lot! It's really shimmer but not obnoxious glitter chunks or anything like that. Just very finely milled shimmer :)
L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara: This mascara gives me a LOT of volume. I don't have that many eyelash hairs so this is a big plus! The downside is that it does clump sometimes but I always layer mascaras (since I can't find a mascara that does both) so that's where the next mascara comes in.
Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara: On it's own this mascara is a discrace to me. It doesn't even lengthen that much and no volume whatsoever, but when I pair it with the L'oreal collagen mascara it separates the lashes and lengthens very well! I find that very strange but oh wells, can't complain when I get the effect I like :/

Urban Decay Eyeliner in Zero: I used to not like this because it still smudged on me but now I set it with a little bit of eyeshadow before/after or both and it lasts forever. Near the end of the day it does smudge a little but not too much, it just gives me a smudged eyeliner effect :)

MAC Blot Powder: Just a regular setting powder for me. The middle part looks gross right! That's what happens when I don't blot and just straight use the powder with my nasty ass face oil! :( I scratched a weird heart in there, but yeah this is the first product I've hit pan on. Pigmentation wise is minimal but it mattifies my t-zone very well so it's in my travel bag for when I need a t-zone touch up!
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in Timothy: I have 3 of these pocket rockets but this one is my favorite because I've been wearing a lot of nudes lately. It's not too sticky but it's still sticky enough to make my lip sticks last a long time (unless I'm eating or drinking -____-) It also smells like cereal so yummmyyyy!
Revlon Color Burst Lipstick in Soft nude: This is the perfect shade for my skin tone! It doesn't wash me out like MAC's myth does and it doesn't dry my lips out as much as Myth. The color is great! I love pairing it with MAC's lipglass in Born to live or Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in Timothy. Super pretty nude
YSL Rouge Volupte in #1, Nude Beige: I really like this color along with the honey beige but I've been picking this up more often because I've been wearing a lot of nudes so I like to add in a pop of color sometimes. This gives me a nice pop of color but it's not too bold where my lips are like ZOMG LOOK AT ME!
MAC Lipglass in Born to Live (LE??): This is my first ever MAC Lipglass. I originally hated it because I'm not a fan of sticky lipglosses but I told myself to suck it up because it's such a pretty color and makes my lipstick last FOREVER! It's because of the stickyness but I've been better about it so it's not too bad for me anymore.

Project 10Pan update: I'm a little caught on whether I should add in skincare because I do buy a lot of skin care, so much where I have plenty for facial cleansers to last me a good 5-6years but skincare is skincare and make up is make up. I think I might include in skin care to make my 10pan 1st round go faster so I can get stuff for a give away but I feel like that's also cheating so....I don't knowww. Make up wise, there really is nothing that I have that's remotely close to being finished except my MAC blot powder and Baby oil/makeup remover. So that's 2/10 T__________T I'm working on it sighhhhh.... we'll see. I'll definetly find a way whether I do or do not include skin care into my p10p....

Updated Make Up Collection & 10 PAN

Hi everyonnnneeee! So I've decided to restart Project 10 Pan. My first time was super unsuccessful because I gave in but I'm going to get back on it and finish it all the way! If anyone wants to join me please do! We'll support this shopping ban together! Haha. Anyways I bought a couple of eyeshadows today for me and the bff for our future play dates (aka Makeup Challenges) just as an excuse to buy more make up....for the last time in a while haha. But I'll post those products up and give a review of them after she's recieved them so be patient for those who read my blog for the minimal purchases that I make!

So, to start off Project 10 Pan I'm going to post up a picture of my current make up collection since I cleaned up my room while I was snowed in and reorganized everything, including my makeup. Here goesss :)

My super old vanityyyy. Haha you can see my VS Travel/Gym Makeup bag. I leave it there so when I go to the gym in the morning I just throw my normal routine stuff in there and bolt.

Most used stuff for face are left out in the little box on the upper left and other most used things are just left out. Haha like my Illamasqua brow cake and eye cake. Baby wipes and make up remover wipes are on the bottom, you can't really see them :)

From left to right, Face brushes, Blending and cheek/contour brushes and lastly eye brushes. In the back are just random stuff like a travel brush set, straws...for my drinks haha, and lastly a 7-11 domo cup from a few months ago for my dirty brushes!

The whole stand! Just some random nail stuff on top with a few stuffed animals. On the right is my first drawer, which are my Revlon colorstay eyeshadow quads, face powders, blushes, bronzers and a few random stuff that I use often but not often enough to be left out. In the wayyyyy back you can't really see it but there are revlon matte shadows that I don't use that much :/

Lip stuff! I have a lot >.< But yess the lip glosses and YSL lippies are in the side compartment because they're too tall to be put upright with the rest of the lippies. In the back are unused palettes I got from ebay when I first got into makeup...they sucked haha. Next drawer are the palettes that I ACTUALLY use. It's all urban decay haha and in the little pencil case thing are eyeliners that I don't use that often or at all X____x

Last but not least! Eyelash drawer! It's so messy, I need to organize it one day. And the one below it are just back ups, extras and stuff that I have yet to open and use. :)
Oh and also a few pigment samples I have yet to press too X____x

Well that's it for my makeup. I'm not going to post up the products that I THINK I'll use up first like how other P10P persons are doing it because I'm not even remotely close to using up anything.......except mascara but that doesn't count. Boo hooo.

Make Up Challenge: Winter Wonderland

Arghh, I hate snow. I've been snowed in for the past, almost week or so and it's been driving me insane. The DC Metro area has gotten almost 30-40inches of snow if you count the 2nd round happening right now. Yeck. I've already finished my homework and I've even cleaned out my entire kitches (sans the pantry. If I open the door there will be an avalanch, no joke) and even my room. I cleaned out my closet AND moved my room around and reorganized my makeup. How sad is that?

I was so bored I bothered my BFF to do a make up challenge with me. I'm too indecisive so I told her to come up with the theme and she chose Winter Wonderland.

Here is my take on it. It was more Ice/Snow Queen related hence why one side of my face is more blue toned. I did that on purpose, although I was going to paint some designs but I got side tracked and forgot what I was going to do so I just left if blank. .______.

I'm LOVING L'Oreal HIP's eyeshadow Duo in Playful. It's so pretty. I can make it bold by layering the colors or I can wear it natural by sticking to 1-2 swipes of color. Super happy with this purchase....BTW, excuse my super greasy ass face >:(

There has been A LOT of hype and commotion about this foundation for the past few months. I finally saw the opportunity to grab one for me and the bestie when this foundation was BOGO at CVS. Originally this foundation is around $13.99 at CVS, it varies a little bit in different areas. I don't have the MUFE HD Foundation so I can't really compare them. I know in an earlier post I said that the color 003 SHELL was too light for me, but once I put it on it was fine. A little light at first but I believe after a few days of wear my skin got slightly lighter because of the SPF haha. Or my lighting was sucky and made me look dark.

The CLAIM: I couldn't find the claim on the official Revlon website but I found out that this foundation is supposed to officially release in March2010 but it's been popping up at various drugstores so here's the claim from ulta.com

Be camera ready with this Photo Ready Makeup SPF 20 by Revlon. Looks great no matter the setting or the lighting! Looking for that dewy glow? This lightweight, non-greasy foundation by Revlon goes on smooth to hide your imperfections. It has light coverage, but is buildable for a more full coverage. Contains sunscreen.

TRUE OR FALSE? There have been mixed reviews floating around but to be honest for me, this is a SUPER TRUE. I love the way this foundation makes me look. Despite the slight T-zone oiliness and the dry patch accentuation...I LOVE THIS.

Cost: Around $13.99 if not with BOGO
Coverage: Hands down medium coverage, not heavy and definitely not light coverage either

Pros
-Powder is not necessary because it dries to a nice satin finish
-Doesn't transfer that much
-Gives me a really nice "glowing" look

-DOESN'T BREAK ME OUTTTT!! YAY!

-Blends VERY easily
-It has a PUMP! woo~ No wasting foundation!

Cons
-Limited Color selection
-The sparkles become more visible on dry skin
-Kind of pricey if you don't get it on a BOGO

-If you have dry skin, fine lines or wrinkles it's going to accentuate it even more.

-Makes T-Zone a little more oily than usual

-Revlon's SPF CAN make you look a little pasty in photos with heavy flash. I was about 2-3 shades lighter when the camera's flash was too close.

OVERALL.

I really really like this foundation. Although this doesn't last THAT long for me (but still pretty well taken how bipolar my skin is) on my T-Zone and my dry patches, the finish is GORGEOUS. You can tell in my before picture that I have a lot of acne scars, but in the after picture they're very faint and it looks close to flawless because of the glowy finish. For me, I can definetly tell that there are sparkles in this foundation if you look at it closely but once you blend it onto your skin the finished results is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't look greasy, I didn't look like a disco ball, I looked like I was GLOWING....seriously. Although my nose/T-zone area still gets slightly greasy after a few hours I just pat some powder over it and I'm all good for another few hours. I've gotten so many complements on my skin and trust me, that's not something I would get comments on very often. This is definitely going to be a favorite for me.

WHO SHOULD GET THIS? Anyone with well hydrated skin because it DOES accentuate dry spots but it should be fine as long as you exfoliate daily and moisturize your skin very well. Also anyone who loves the flawless glowy look (although keep in mind if you have problematic skin or lots of acne scars this is not a miracle product).

Would I Recommend and Repurchase?? HECK YES. This MIGHT become my HG :)

Hello loves! So because of this acne product that I've been using (review to come!), my face has been super dry in addition to the horrible winter dryness, I haven't been wearing make up at all. The drying has gotten really bad to the point where the skin around my eyes are flaking too. I tried to control the flaking so nothing has been on my face lately except lotion and DEFINETLY not the acne product. The past few days have been better, I've been layering up on moisturizer with the few samples that I have because the one that I normally used would suddenly start peeling off my face and make me look like I have eczema on my face. Now that my skin slowly getting better I started putting on a little bit of eye make up because I get out of the gym too late to take the time to do my make up so it must be super light and simple. So it all comes down to the ESSENTIALS.

Eyeliner: For me I found that a pencil liner is the quickest and simplest to use although I know the lasting factor is a down side. But I've been using Urban Decay's Liner in Zero and Bourbon and even though they don't last as long as I'd hope to they smudge a little bit, giving me a slight smokey eyed look.
Mascara: LOTS AND LOTS OF MASCARA! I love mascara because you can wear it alone and it'll make your eyes pop so much so Mascara is an essential for me because it's so quick to use. My favorite at the moment are the Loreal Extra Collagen mascara and a Rimmel one, the one with the 3 balls (can't remember the name at the moment)
Eyebrow Powder: I need this desperatly......that's all I have to say. The one that I'm using now, the application is meh, not as quick as I hoped it to be but what can I say? I need it despite how long it takes me to put on some eyebrows :(

That's pretty much all. No primer even though my eyelids are super oily, no foundation so my skin can breath and NOT flake off, no colorful eyeshadow, no time :(

This is the simple eyeliner look that I wore today. It's super duper simple. What I pretty much did was gently tight line my upper lash line to make my eyelashes look more fuller and define my eyes, then I lightly smudged the liner at the outer corner of my eye with the same pencil, but in slight dabbing motions and using that same motion I bring it half way into the lower lash line. Then just lots of mascara :)

Bodybugg...WHHHAAATTTT??? & New Year's Resolution

Hi ladies! Sorry, I know this isn't beauty related, well kind of if you are like me and prefer to stretch the subject haha.

Anyways same old excuse, I've been swamped with work. Yes I'm supposed to be on break but.......I'm still working full time and am even taking an online course. Crazy I know. Oh the pains I force upon myself. I swear one part of my brain is like a super strict nagging asian mother and the other is a nerdy little kid. Where is the fun in that!?

So as I was saying, before I'm off to do my homework (I PROMISE I WILL POST MORE OFTEN. I WILL NOT FLAKE ON YOU GUYS! I WILL NOT FLAKE!), I just wanted to let you guys know that my new little toy, the Bodybugg, just came in. I got it for about 179.99 at Costco. If you guys are interested I highly suggest you get it there because that has by far the best deal I have seen online and trust me, I've been looking for a good deal for this little buggy for so long! I'm going to do a more indepth review on it later on but I'll give you the specs right now.

WHAT IS IT? This cute little machine pretty much measures how many calories your body is burning.

HOW DOES IT WORK? How it measures the calories is by tracking physical movements and expenditures. What it does is basically measure your heat fluxuations, skin conductivity, and body temperature. On the back side of the bodybugg there are thin metal plates that stay in contact with your skin throughout the day and measures all three of these things and thus calculates how many calories burned.

There are a few pros and cons but I'll leave that for later.

New Years resolution! I know I'm super late and behind with not just with life but especially with blogging! I'm sorry for that! So, I compiled a list of things for my new years resolution. I'm determined not to forget them after january! haha which always seems to happen every year

Be healthy: Not just with losing weight but also eating and excercising wise. I've been terrible at keeping consistent my workouts. I cannot seem to wake up early enough for them. But I'm resolving to change that
Save up money: I find myself year after year dropping mad bank on things I don't need and wont use *COUGHsomemakeupCOUGH* But this year I'm hoping to save some money by not buying TOO much make up
Project 10 pan! I want to get through this! I have too much makeup and I feel like I need to finish some things before I buy more or else I'm going to go overboard
Study hard. Self explanatory.
BLOG BLOG BLOGGGGGG! I was consistent near the beginning of the summer but then it all stopped because I started packing things into my schedule. But now that people actually read me (I think! haha) I want to thank everyone for their support by giving them more interesting things to read about!

Black Friday Haul.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving and Black Friday?? :)

Oh man, I expected to get more on black friday, but the rush always scares me....and the vicious old ladies with shopping carts. Every year I always ALMOST get trampled repeatedly by them. Oh the horror.

I only went to one place for the morning sales, nothing makeup related to buy at Target. I nearly got ran over for a $3 coffee maker for my brother, while he waited for me 5 isles away, fully hidden from the vicious crowd of rabid old ladies fighting for the cheapies. We left Target with only 2 coffee makers and a George Foreman Grill (which I LOVE btw, makes grilling/cooking so much easier for the cooking lazy).

Later in the day I went to Sephora to get the Kat von D bag, no pictures of it right now, but I'll post it later :)

I'm surprised I only left with one thing, which is the Sephora Holiday Magic-Palette in silver. I also got a beauty insider gift, the philosophy moisturizer sample. OMG I have to say that shit smells like CRAP. I can't bear to use it because of the horrendous smell! And I can tolerate smell pretty well unlike some people. I need to chuck it somewhere, where I can't smell it! What a waste of 100pts.

Update and Long Awaited Collective Haul

HELLLOOOOOOOOO loves!
So sorry for not updating in so long. I'll spare everyone the thoughtless excuses and whatnot. But I do apologize, I really don't know what came over me these past few weeks. I've missed blogging and everyone of you! :)

I've done way too much hauling and not enough posting. Haha I fail a lot, I had all the pictures cropped and saved on my computer and I was supposed to upload them yesterday so I can make my posts at work right now. That didn't quite work out as well as I had expected, boo. But I'm going to post none the less. Before we go onto the hauls, I'm planning on doing a tutorial
soon. Does anyone have any suggestions of what kind of tutorial I should do?

Now that that's settled, ON WITH THE HAULLLLLL.

All of these were purchased during the Sephora Friends and Family sale so I'm not going to put up the prices. I went little overboard though .___.

I LOVEEEEE how smooth these lipsticks go on. And the texture is absolutely heavenly! The only down side is that there's a fake citrusy smell to it, but it goes away after a while. It's not a chemical smell, just....weird citrus candy like.

Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 - 1 Nude Beige. This is really similar to Lingerie Pink, but more nudy pink toned. This is my FAVORITE of the three, I've been wearing it just about everyday. It's goregous!
Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 - 7 Lingerie Pink. This is a bright light pink lipstick. I like it if I want to make a bolder statement
Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 - 4 Sweet Honey. This is more brown than nudy. I wouldn't wear it by itself but I would pair it with a nice nude gloss to lighten it up and make it less brown.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. II - Book of Shadows Vol. II

I have the first book of shadows and I like it a lot. I like this one a lot too but I wouldn't say that I LOVE all of the shadows. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I HATE shadows with HUGE chunks of glitter that just fall EVERYWHERE. I hate to say it but although I LOVE the texture and pigmentations of Urban Decay Shadows, I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE how some of them have HUGE "confetti-like" glitters that fall EVERYWHERE. To name a few, MIDNIGHT COWBOY. GAHHHHH. Words cannot describe how much I hate that shadow because of fall outs. Nylon comes close....VERYYYY close after a little incident today. As much as I hate some of the shadows, I still bought it because I love the texture. Doesn't mean I'll use the ones with HUGE glitter chunks but I'll most definetly use the ones without them.

Illamasqua Eye Liner Cake - Mislead
I've been lemming after Illamasqua products for a while and I finally managed to get my hands on some. I purchased this one because I've always wanted to use an eyeliner cake. I must say it works really nicely BUT it is hard to get used to though. It goes on SUPER dark and smooth if you add the right ratio of water to the cake. But because of that, it's hard to get used to. The first few times I used it I swear I wanted to chuck it across the room. Haha, but I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. :)

Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake - Vehement
The color that I purchased was the soft black on, not the one in the picture. The color is AMAZING. It's so hard finding a neutral, NON-RED toned brow powder. Now that my black hair is growing back out, I'm glad I bought this because it matches perfectly well. Absolutely NO red tones. I can also control how dark I want my brows to be. Very easy to layer and blend. It also lasts pretty long too, which is surprising for a brow powder alone.

Okay nevermind, maybe that wasn't as much as I thought it was.....but it did put a HUGE dent in my wallet. haha Booo. So much for a bombass post. Gah. Whatever, super belated October favorites post coming soon.

It's that time of the month....

Hello lovelies!

No, not THAT time of the month silly. I know it's 4:11 in the morning but get your mind out of the gutter. haha Just kidding. MY mind's in the gutter. There's too much study to be done and did. My brain's not working correctly. I haven't pulled an all nighter in FOREVER, I think that last time I even ATTEMPTED was last year and, mind you when I say ATTEMPTED, I mean tried to stay up past 12, but ended up conking out 30min later. Yeah, I'm THAT weaksauce. That's why I need to study ahead of time. Sure, call me an old grandma but I literally DON'T function correctly for the next 1-2weeks from messing up my sleep sched. I lose/gain weight like crazy, I do/don't eat, and I my insomnia comes back. It really varies on how stressed I am. I feel like I haven't blogged in FOREVER, I finally got my camera back but I haven't had time to edit them so pictures have been piling up. I finally managed to transfer them but no edits :(

Sorry girlies. Anyways I'm pulling my first all-nighter in a year, for those that have done it, how do you do it? Coffee and food make me sleepy, energy drinks work once then wear off (not to mention I hate the gross feeling in my mouth and throat from the excess sugar. yeck) It's a miracle I've stayed up this long.

What to do with False Lashes that are too long?

Hello all! So I've come across a dilemma with my false lashes. The most recent ones that I purchased from iheartredcherry.com were super long, both the length of the lash hairs AND the length of the false eyelashes themselves. So I didn't know what to do with them. If I cut the eyelashes themselves then the hairs would be too long. But it's also too much effort to cut them both because knowing me I ALWAYS mess up somehow.

BUT I've recently discovered a method to put these way too big lashes to use. I've heard of cutting them in half but I never really understood the concept. I figured they would look too obvious because I lack eyelash hairs and sticking only HALF a strip of false eyelashes on my eye would make it so obvious. But with the ones that I bought (the #217 lashes), it works because the false eyelashes themselves are pretty natural looking but there's obvious volume. It's very natural looking minus the super obvious lengthening.

So basically the point of this entry was, if your false eyelashes are too long, cut them in half and use them on your outer corners. Haha sorry. Went off on a tangent.

Putting them on your outer corner ensures gradual volume and length as opposed to the whole strip. Not to mention 1 pair of falsies I can use twice as long ;D

***A little tip for falsie application: Everyone that I've seen always applies mascara to their lashes AFTER they place their falsies on. But I personally apply my mascara on BEFORE falsie application because I feel that it blends my lashes into my falsies without ruining the falsies :)
And to save time, I apply mascara while I'm waiting for the glue on my falsies to get tacky.

Anyways I hope this entry helped anyone that was in the same dilemma as me. :)

Hello all, this is my first colorful tutorial! Oh man, I finished this faster than I thought I would. I took a 5 hour nap after work so I can't go back to sleep until about 2am-3am. SIGH. no more naps. Bad bad habit that I changed a long time ago. Now with school and work, it's been creeping up on me. Blahh. Quick Update and Tutorial Preview!

Hello Lovelies! I feel like I haven't blogged in forever, but when I check it's actually only been 4 days. Garrr bad news, I had my camera taken away from me again. I can't find it anymore. Boo, my family has a nasty habit of taking things and not telling me....and also not returning them to their original place. SIGH So until I get it back I have resorted to webcam pictures.

So anyways, if you haven't already noticed from the title, yes I made another tutorial. This time it's with much more brighter colors as requested on soompi. I'm still in the process of editing them even though I did it a few days ago, but no worries they will be up soon. I've been staying at the library until 10pm everyday after work and class so it's really been biting into my schedule. But I've vowed that from 10pm-11pm I will work on my blog and tutorials so hopefully this tutorial (and many others to come!) will be up soon.

Anyways here's a small teaser of what to expect within the next few days ;)

Review: Red Cherry Lashes #213

DARN. After the last post I lost my eyelash adhesive so I haven't been wearing falsies all of this week. haha boo fails. But anyways here are a picture of how long the Red Cherry Lashes #213 are. I'm most likely going to do length comparisons in the nearby future when I can get my lazy butt out to the drugstore to get eyelash adhesive.

From this angle you can definitely tell that I'm wearing falsies. Heck you can even see the bone of the false eyelashes! Anyways (if my eyeliner were darker it wouldn't do that haha boos) you can tell that besides the bone they actually look pretty natural and blend fairly well with my natural lashes. These are actually very comfortable to wear. The bone doesn't stab my inner corner as much as others. They are a bit long though so I did do some trimming. Other than that. I believe these are one of the most natural yet volumizing lashes that I have ever used. Compared to my ardell invisibands these are a little more dramatic, in a natural way. By dramatic I really mean volumizing because the invisibands are a little thin for my taste.

I really reccomend everyone trying these out. They DO need a little trimming if you have smaller eyes but they're also very cheap so that's okay! They cost about $1.49 each, compared to invisibands which I used to get for about $2.59 I believe. And that's the cheapest price for them that I've ever seen too. :)

Yay! Finally. Here are the things I've been reaching for the most this month. :)

IPKN Blemish Balm Plus and Dr. Jart Silver Label Blemish Base
I have a box full of BB Cream, but out of all of them I like these two the best (with the exception of the mini ones from skin79 that I haven't tried yet. haha tsk shame on me) But anywhooo, I love these the best because in the Fall/Winter I get pretty pasty looking, like NC15-20ish and since these only come in one or two shades that are around the NC 15-20ish range, the color selection fits me perfectly! They both have really nice medium coverage when applied with my Everyday Minerals Flat top Kabuki and blend flawlessly into my skin. They also brighten my face up very nicely. These paired with my ELF Studio blush in Tickled Pink gives me a really pretty dolly look.

Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten
I bought this on a whim after walking past this at sephora a couple of times. The other times I held myself back with the thought that nothing will last as long as my Bobbi Brown Gel liners. But I gave into the urge one day and grabbed this and threw it in my sephora bag before I could second doubt myself and put it back. I must say I'm SUPER glad that I bought this! Although it is a little more frosty than I'd like it to be, it's realllyyyyyy gorgeous. It's a soft peachy pink color so it matches my skintone very well for highlights. Now you might know if you saw my previous FOTD, but I tend to scratch my inner eye corner so anytime I have a powder highlight, even cream they come off within a matter of seconds. But this has held up REALLY well. I've even used this as an eyebase alone and it really makes my eyeshadows pop. It also makes blending eyeshadows really smooth. Now it doesn't last as long as UDPP but it still gets the job done very well for me! :)

ELF Studio Blush in Tickled Pink
Um, GORGEOUS. I feel like alot of people thing that the lasting power of these blushes suck but I actually think they hold up pretty well. Sure they fade but they're only 3 bucks. I actually use it to set my LF around my cheek area and it's done a fantastic job. Now that it's Fall time, I can bust out my BB creams which brighten my complexion up really well. When I pair it with this, I look like a doll kinda. haha. I think it's really pretty. It goes on pretty nice too. :)

L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara
I actually just purchased this in the middle of September because I had lost my Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara and the Sky High Curves one that I had as a back up SUCKED BALLS (excuse the language, but that's how I feel about that mascara in particular). So I've been eyeing this for a while and finally picked it up. I'm SO GLAD I did. Why? because it really does SUPER volumize my eyelashes. It clumps a little bit when I put more coats on it, but it doesn't clump up crazily like others. It doesn't smudge, flake or decurl my lashes so that's a HUGE plus for me. I'm crazy about the volumizing part. I love it soooooo. It also blends my eyelashes in with my false eyelashes very well too!

Lancome Brow Pencil in Taupe
I've been reaching for this alot. I feel bad for throwing aside my Revlon Brow Fantasy pencils, but really, this works so much better. The finish is soft and powdery like, unlike the Brow Fantasy which was somewhat waxy. This doesn't yank out one of my few brow hairs which makes me love this product. I tried the MAC brow duo but I don't like having to use a separate brush to use it. I'm a simple one step kinda girl so anything that makes application easier and faster I'm all up for. Not to mention the brow wand side of this is absolutley divine! It's very study so my brow hairs actually STAY in place. wow :)

Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Copper Spice
I mainly just use the bottom two colors for my everyday look. The coppery color for the lid and the bottom dark brown color for the outer V. Sometimes I use the peachy tone color to blend the outer V if it's too sharp and the light pale yellow color for highlight if I feel like it. This quad is very versatile to use. It's basic and perfect for a natural or a more dramatic look. I recomend this to beginners too if you're looking for color. The shadows themselves are nicely pigmented and go on very soft. At first they came out sheer but with more use the pigmentation gradually got better. I've been using this everyday. It's great for a neutral and natural look.

Red Cherry False Eyelashes in #213
I made a huge order at iheartredcherry.com a while ago that I never posted up. Haha I think it was when they had all lashes on sale for 99cents. I got alot of falsies haha, but they're super long! It's hard to pull of falsies that are 3-4x longer than your normal lashes and I got the ones that looked the shortest on the site too! HOWEVER out of the ones that I got the #213s are the PERFECT length. They also look super natural but gives the illusion of me having thicker eyelashes. They really complement my eyes :) I like them a lootttttt.

Biore Brightening Face Milk with SPF 50+ PA+++
This is actually something that I have been using for the past 3 years, or when my last trip to china/japan was. In Shinjuku(sp??) they were handing out samples and samples of this sunscreen was one of them, they gave out 2 types out of the 3 that they normally offer the whitening one and the brightening one. I already used up my Whitening one that I purchased off of ichibankao so I picked this one up. Yeah, it still smells super funkey, kinda like chemicals, but that goes away after a second (seriously). These sunscreens go on super smooth. They give a nice powdery finish and a little bit goes a looonnnnnngggggg way. I normally mix it in with my moisturizer so it spreads out more evenly because they dry fast. I can really tell that this brightens up my complexion!

Ahhhh, sorry sorry! I haven't been updating as often as I hope I would. I miss blogging. But exams and work are literally kicking me in the bumhole. So much studying. I should be studying right now but I miss you guys! So I'm blogging instead of studying haha. ANYWAYS, this is just a quick FOTD. I have a September Favorites coming up! YAY :)

Sandra Park KISS MV/CASS CF Inspired tutorial

YAYYYYY. Finally a long awaited tutorial. It literally took me forever and a day to finish this. But now that I've found what works for me when making tutorials, expect alot more in the future :)

ANYWAYS. As you all know I've been really into Sandra Park's KISS MV otherwise known as the CASS CF. I lovvveeeee how fierce she looked and how spunky her character was. So I decided to recreate it. I didn't really do the fauxhawk but it kinds looks like it. haha But I was actually just getting my bangs out of my face. And since I couldn't find my hair clips (don't you hate how they always dissapear??) I improvised and used my Bump-it. haha it worked pretty well too! But yes yes, I don't look anything like Sandra Park but this is the looks that I came up with that I felt looked the closest to her look in the MV/CF. Hope this helps! Hi all<3

Just a little quick update. I tried recreating Sandra Park's look in her Cass commercial but I ended up getting shimmer in my eye so I ended up tearing up the whole day. My tears completely washed off the eyeliner on my lower lashline. So sad. I had the fauxhawk too :/ Boo next time, next time.

Today is a very sad day.

Today might possibly be the saddest day I've felt in a while. This is not a makeup related post so for those who want to read something makeup related, please skip this post.

I know I sound like a crazy fangirl when I say this but my heart literally broke when I heard that Park Jaebeom quit 2pm. Go ahead, call me a crazy fan girl. I don't care. He was the only celebrity that I really liked. Everyone else was just a passing blur. I never once stopped to look them up on wikipedia like I did with Jaebeom. He was my favorite and always will be despite him now being a star of the past.

I'm incredibly hurt and sad by the whole incident. Not of anything he said but of the way everyone acted. For the first time, I was embarassed. I was embarassed of Korean culture and how everything works over there. I was dissapointed that antis and bashing celebrities to that extent was "normal". I knew that they were bad, but to this extent? I know they're a different culture that Americans but really? Is that how your parents raised you to be? Your parents raised you to bash on others and act like you have no faults? I know certainly well that's not how MY parents raised ME.

By this time, I think I've learned to support his decision in leaving. Let him live the life that he wants to live. It still makes me sad that there are people in the world who will go to that extent to ruin people's lives. Really, what gives them the right to do that? All I know is that I'll support his decision and root for him despite whatever he chooses to do after this. For me, 2pm will never be the same.

SO. Most of you probably don't know but after makeup my second obsession is shoes. I don't have alot but I have pretty bad lemmings over them. Too bad I can't find as great of a bargain on shoes as I can with make up haha. Not to mention I have wide feet so it's a little harder to find shoes for my awkward feet. hehehehe. CVS is having a Revlon BOGOF sale and I couldn't help myself.......
yeahhhhhh I bought 6 Revlon Colorstay quads. SIGH. If you haven't noticed by now, I kinda go crazy when there are sales >.<>.<

Anyways, for this FOTD I used my new Revlon Colorstay Quad in Azure Blue. My camera kinda washed it out but the colors are so pretty in person. Although when I started getting grease-ballish throughout the day I felt like I started looking emo LOL. Maybe it's because my makeup didn't match what I was wearing that day. Poo oh wells, no one to impress. haha. The shadows look more true to color in the one really bright picture. But it looks photoshopped right? LOL It's not besides the auto levels and the border. Oh sun, I love the weather we're having over here, but that doesn't mean I'm not allergic to you anymore. GO AWAYYYY. lol Just kidding. Just bad time to take pictures haha.

All I really did was pat Peace Eyeshadow from Urban decay Over the red eyeshadow, making a dark indigo color and darkened up the black on the outer V for a more dramatic look. Wow, it feels as if I haven't blogged in forever....but it's only been 3-4 days? I think. I'm going to take that as a good sign. Meaning I've grown attatched to updating this blog. :)

ANYWAYS so I received a package from Lisa from He Qi Crystal Designs on Saturday. But I didn't get a chance to open it (blame it on the stupid brother :P) until Sunday. I was so excited to open the package that I didn't get to take pictures of how well the package was packed. Even if you threw it around and kicked it, nothing would have happened to the awesome goodies inside it...not that I did that! ANYWAYS enough joking around. I purchased 2 pairs of earrings from her and a custom order necklace. The necklace hasn't come in yet but Lisa sent me a sneak peak and I'm excited! I'll post pictures up when I recieve it. Inside the package were care cards and a hand written note (eek! I heart hand written notes! They show that she cares ^.^)

I ordered two pairs of this earring. I'm only going to post one because the other is a gift to my friend who hasn't recieved them yet (and she does read this blog LOL) I'm sorry my pictures don't do it justice at ALL. But here's the detailed info about the earrings from her ecrater

Features 10mm SWAROVSKI Crystal hearts, 4mm bicones, 7mm roundelles, and 6mm pearls. Measures aprox. 4.5cm in length. Any color combo is pretty much available, please ask! Heart hooks are the top quality, heavy sterling silver.

At first I was a little iffy about ordering earing because I haven't worn earrings in over a year because my ears are super sensitive to things even with the SLIGHTLEST bit of nickle in them. I would break out in rashes all over my ear and down that side of the neck if the earring was dangly. But they were so pretty I couldn't resist, so I ordered them anyways. Don't worry I had a bottle of clear nail polish in hand if that really did happen. BUT BUT BUUUUUTTT to my amazement they didn't itch at all. I wore them to school today and nothing happened. I got completments on them and my skin didn't break out in a rash. That tells me that the stuff she uses to make her products are most definetly top quality. I'll most definetly be purchasing more items from her!

Primer Showdown

Hi everyone! I was going to combine the fotd and this post together but meh, it's probably easier for everyone to look up if they wanted to look at the labels and what not. Argh I'm blabbing. I need to go to sleep. So here it is,

PRIMER SHOWDOWN
URBANDECAY PRIMER POTION vs. ELF MINERAL EYE PRIMER

Sorry for the multitudes of lighting. I was at home, then work, then it was too dark to get natural lighting. But lighting doesnt matter for this as long as you guys can see the creasing.

Now as you all know I have extremely oily skin so I get super greasy everywhere. I can't even wear eyeshadow without primer or else in 20min it's going to smudge and crease.

Initial thoughts: The ELF primer goes on so much more creamier than the UDPP. But I've had my UDPP for about 2 years now, this is the last of my stock so of course it's going to be a little dried out (just spray some fix+ and you're good). I don't really notice a difference in vibrancy between the two.

Final Verdict: UM, YES the ELF primer is a pretty darn close dupe to the UDPP. The creasing didn't start until after 8 hours (the UDPP lasted over 12 hours) and that is pretty darn good compared to other stuff like Too Faces shadow insurance for me. I am most definetly going to interchange this with my UDPP. HOWEVER I will not competely switch out UDPP if you have oily eyelids like I do. I would actually save it for more formal ocassions or times where the weather/humidity would work against you.

Repurchase: to both, HELLLL YEAH

SIGH. summer vacation is coming to an end...even though I didn't really have a summer haha especially with summer classes and working full time at the lab :( My summer was not as productive as I hoped it to be. Summer classes and a full time job is killer. I do not recommend it at all. But I got back into blogging which I am thankful for. I'm turning 20/21 (haha one day you guys will find out the real meaning to this) in less than 4 days. I feel somewhat reluctant to let go of my youth but at the same time I want to embrace the future. To take a step forward and let go of everything in the past is indeed hard. But in order to be the person that I want to be, I need to aim for my goals and never let go. There is no second chance for me.

SIGH I feel the need to copy my post from soompi about the ELF mineral eyeliner. If you can't tell from the picture above, the liner transferred onto my crease within 3-4 minutes of being applied. GRR. I'm slightly annoyed because I didn't even use primer for that look (cuz I was just playing around with makeup) and even the eyeshadow didn't even crease yet. But the stupid liner already transferred. boo. I wasn't going to post up the FOTD because the closed eye picture annoys me but I'm going to anyways to show you guys how it creased. SIGH. I'm loving the color though.

For those with sok ssangapul (hooded eyelids, ones that fold over so it kind of looks like a monolid) this is your number one enemy. Once you open your eyes it transfers onto your eyelid. Mind you this is AFTER I waited about 10-20 seconds for it to settle (this is a habit of mine whenever I use pencil liners)
Very easy to smudge (can be a pro I guess)
Not long lasting at all
Recommended/Repurchase: Maybe for people who don't have oily eyelids. Other than that I'm not that big of a fan of this eyeliner. I most definetly WILL NOT repurchase. Thank goodness I only bought one of these instead of all 4 -_____-

ELF Swatches Part 3 and FOTD

Ergh, I don't really remember what I used. Too many new things haha >.< All I remember is Eyes the main products were UDPP, ELF Studio shadow transformer and Pebble shadow. And for Blush I used Tickled Pink from the ELF studio line

So lately I've been doing natural smokey looks with the ELF Studio eyeshadow transformer quad and the Studio eyeshadows. I'm really liking the natural look lately but I'm most definitely going to be experimenting with a more dramatic look for my birthday on Saturday :D Yay! I'm going to be turning 21, kinda hehe. :) Any color combinations or looks I should try out? :)

Maybelline Superstay Foundation Review

*On the very left in comparison to my Revlon colorstay and Laneige Snow crystal foundation

This foundation is pretty new. So new that there's not even a link or product informational thingy on the Maybelline website yet.

Anyways, I've been walking past this foundation at my local CVS a couple of times before I actually gave in and bought it. There were small tester vials avaliable to color match yourself and I found that really neat especially for a drugstore brand because they normally don't do testers for drugstore cosmetics. I've also been reading up on the reviews on makeupally for this foundation and unfortunatly to say alot of the reviews have been pretty positive, which was a main reason why I gave into the hype in the first place. HOWEVER when I first purchased this, I had originally purchased this in the wrong shade it was one shade too light for me. So I exchanged the Nude for the Classic Beige. Let's backtrack a little bit. The first day when I put this foundation on was when I had purchased this in Nude. At first it looked okay on my skin, almost matched my skintone exactly except it was slightly pinky. But later in the day I realized that the foundation had started to oxidize although I convinced myself it was because the lighting in my room was whack and the shade was too dark. So I exchanged it and the second day, the foundation seemed perfect. BUT, since this does not have a pump I poured a little bit on my hand and brushed it on there. The color looked exact, but once again later in the day it started to oxidize on me but this time because this shade had more yellow undertones than the previous shade, instead of turning darker it turned ORANGE. *note see above face of the day* But I decided to be nice and give it a few more days to get used to my skin and I noticed it oxidizing even faster with each use of the foundation and yesterday, I finally decided to send this useless foundation into my swap bin.

Pros
-a pretty wide color range for a drugstore brand foundation
-Coverage is really nice, about medium to heavy depending on how you layer
-Doesn't accentuate flakey dry spots
-Has a dewy finish if you're into that (I'm not -___-)
-Doesn't break me out

Cons
-IT DOESN'T EVEN LAST THAT LONG. It promises "super stay, up to 24hrs". BULLCRAP. Revlon makes that claim too, but it really does last on my super oily T-zone!
Oxidizes
-Color selection is not yellow/olive toned enough to suit asian skintones
-Has a dewy finish

Would I buy this again?
HECK NO.

Who would I recommend this to?
People with more dry skin. Maybe the foundation won't oxidize on you because of the decreased oil production. and for people with sensitive skin

SIGH. I'm not saying that this is a horrible foundation for everyone, just me. Especially since on makeupalley there are alot of positive reviews, I just happened to not be one of them.

That's all for now. I think I'm starting to get lazy with swatches haha. I feel so dirty having so many colors on my arm. I feel like I'm making the colors commit polygamy or something. LOL That's such a weird way to put it. But yeah I have alot of the other ELF studio products that I've already purchased before back in the day when they first launched the studio line. So if you guys want swatches of those just let me know. I think by now the only thing I don't have a a selected few shades of stuff if they come in multiple shades and the mascaras and the false eyelash kit. Feel free to requests! I get brain pooped on what to post sometimes haha :D

ELF Studio Haul Swatches Part 1

Hello all! Here are the swatches of the ELF Studio line eyeshadows and blushes. I'm liking them ALOT. They texture is really nice (not as great as NARs per se but near that level) but don't put too much pressure on them if you're using your fingers (I did for the swatches haha) or else powder will come loose because they are not that tightly packed. But very pigmented none the less so there is no need for a heavy hand :)

I have a FOTD that I'll post up later today using a lot of the ELF studio line products. I'm very very surprised because I know a few of the products I was struggling to decide whether I should get them or not because I predicted that there would be huge chunks of glitter in it (I am a total glitterphobe) but surprisingly all of them, in stead of chunky immature glitter chunks, have gorgeous iridescent sheens to it. It's SO prettyy, especially if you combine it with a matte color :)

anyways enough of my babbling, on the the swatches!
All of the swatches are pretty true to color except for a few that I've mentioned. Enjoy!

[Left to Right] Charcoal, Saddle, Coffee Brown, Mystic Moss (in person it's SLIGHTLY more green tinted, but not by alot) and Pebble

[Left to Right] Raspberry Truffle, Amethyst, Wild Wheat (has a sheen that's not captured in picture), Butter Cream (has a sheen that's not captured in the picture) and Sand Dollar (has a silver/gold sheen not captured in picture)
***LOL you can't really see butter cream that well because it's so similar to my skintone, but it's more light goldish. It's more pigmented than it looks. Really pretty :)

So my second ELF haul came in today. YAY Comepletely made my day. This is my studio line order. I already have a post on what products I bought, but here's a picture of my haul. I'm most definetly going to do indept review on the products, but from first impression......let's just say I'm SUPER IMPRESSED. hehe. I have pictures of everything in a compact. I'll put that up tomorrow with the names of the products and what shades :)*I forgot to include the new face kabuki boo.

Hope everyone had a good tuesday and btw, today is the release of G-Dragon's Solo Album, Heartbreaker (and his Birthday!). It's a friggen amazing album and the publicity stunt that they pulled with the Plagarism scare with Flo-Rida's Right Round is INGENIOUS. As expected from Big Bang's leader. ALTHOUGH lol, I expected the album art to be much better and less creepy. haha but that's just me.

Haul time!

So my first ELF purchase just came in today! YAY 16 lipsticks from the mineral line (for 20bucks too! yayy!). Just to be warned, if I was buying each lipstick individually I would have been extremely mad. Why? Because the swatches on their website are complete BS! They look NOTHING like the website swatches. So instead of just taking pictures of them I rolled them up so you can see the color also :)
Hope it helps you choose which color you would like to get if you're staring hard at the swatches online. hehe oh and btw, the color of the lipsticks are slightly lighter than in person because of the flash, so keep that in mind. Other than that they're pretty much true to color :)

**The last one isn't Rustic Brick, sorry! It's PRIME PLUM (I dunno why it's brownish though, LOL. FAIL ELF FAIL)

Foundations I currently own: (L-R) Maybelline Superstay in Nude, Revlon Colorstay in Golden Beige and Laneige Snow Crystal in shade 02

Foundation Search: DAY 1- Maybelline SuperStay Foundation
So I'm looking for a new foundation because the Laniege foundation that I have is a little too light for me at the moment and I don't want to buy another one in a darker shade because if I remember correctly the next darkest shade was somewhat more pink toned that the one I purchased (and their selection of shades SUCK). I'm laying off the Revlon because with prolonged use I get small bumps on my skin, but the color match is almost exact. It seems to blend seamlessly into my skin, matches my current skin color very well (I don't know what I'm going to do when I get lighter :[ ) So I picked up the new Maybelline SuperStay Liquid Foundation yesterday at the local drugstore. But it turns out I picked out the wrong color :( I picked up Nude but it was obviously darker than my natural skintone. In the photos in my FOTD, you can probably tell it's a few shades darker than my normal skintone. Tomorrow I'm going to go exchange it for a lighter shade.

What do I have to say about it so far? It's only been the first day that I've used it, but so far my impression is okay. There are definetly pros and cons, but for now I'll just blame it on the color that I picked out. If with further use the problems persist then I'll let you guys know! :)

What is on my Sephora shopping list and why?

So of course everyone knows how excited I am for the launch of Illamasqua. BUT I was smart and didn't know that even though it's avaliable on the site, it is not avaliable for purchase YET. Garr. Poopy. Oh wells I have my wishlist set up and ready to go and what is in it you may ask? I'll tell you :D

Illamasqua Eye Liner Cake ($21)
WHY?
I heard from the grape vine that this stays FOREVER and that the black is the blackest black that has been seen. I've been on the lookout to try cake eyeliners, to switch up my options from bobbi brown gel liner to cake. We'll see if this stands the test of my eyelid oil.

Illamasqua Eye brow Cake ($19)

WHY?

I'm always on the lookout for eyebrow products and the fact that this is in cake for has poked my interest. I also heard that the cake itself is EXTREMELY long lasting. We'll see if it's true :)

Illamasqua Illuminator ($18) in Poised or Fondle

WHY?

The pigmentation of this product is insanely nice from the swatches I have stalked online. Apparently it's extremely long lasting and the colors are GORGEOUS. Must give it a try at least.

Illamasqua Lipstick in Obey and Sonnet ($20)
WHY?

Illamasqua's lip products have been known for their pigmentation. Gossip has it that their lipsticks are super creamy and glide on very nicely. Pigmentation is also amazingly great, not to mention GORGEOUS colors as well. I wanted the intense lipgloss too but they didn't have the colors I wanted. Darn you lucky UKers.

Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion- Pore Perfecting ($30) WHY?

Is this as great as the Urban Decay Primer Potion for the eyes? If it is then I'm sold. I missed out on the samples when they were giving it away online, but I'm willing to try it. Hopefully it wont break me out like other primers :(

Yeap that's it. I've been pretty good about buying makeup lately. I won't splurge that much haha. But yeah. The question is, what products do I NEED? :D

I've been eyeing Illamasqua products online for quite a while now and I was SO CLOSE to buying them but to buy them off of sephora.com is better for me because I have beauty points and I can return them safely if the product doesn't work well with me, unlike if I were to buy it straight from the Illamasqua website because they are Europe based, so it would have to go through international whatchamahcallits. And I want to get my Illamasqua products ASAP! Yay haha. But anywhooo, Illamasqua is coming to sephora.com on JULY 21st! Only two days away! I have heard over and over again that it would be on sephora.com at the END of July, but I just found out that it's actually the 21st so yay, sooner than the 31st. LOL

Product Review: Cover Girl Lash Blast LUXE

Cover Girl Lash Blast LUXE

The blackest-black LashBlast formula, now tinted with luxe shimmers. The giant
Luxe brush helps blast lashes to their biggest, boldest, and most beautifully
shimmering. In 4 shades that are ready to match your every mood.

This is a branch off of Cover Girl's Lash Blast mascara. They say that they use the blackest-black formula, but personally it seems more like a subtle black to me just because of shimmers in there. This mascara comes in 4 different shades,

Black Platinum: Black with platinum shimmers
Black Cabernet: Black with browish shimmers
Black Royale: Black with navy blue shimmers
Black Emerald: Black with green shimmers

I originally purchased this at Target because they had a coupon for a free Cover Girl eyeshadow if you buy the LashBlast and I'd been eyeing this mascara ever since it came out because it was a pretty pink color. It's supposed to be the same formula but I feel as if it's not just because it does not give the same volume that I see in the original. It doesn't seem to volumize as much, but I does and it's obvious, just not as much as the original. And there's no waterproof formula out yet. The formula also seems to be much dryer than the original. And personally I don't see those subtle hints of color. Even up close I don't really see it. OH WAIT, I caught a glimpse of it after staring into the mirror at the swipe of mascara on my hand for about 30minutes. Boo.

Okay, okay so it's not as bad as I said it was. Instead of blacest black it's more like blackish green, the one that I have at least. Despite what I said the Lash blast collection is still a very good line of mascaras. I just personally prefer the original over the Luxe

Pros

Does give alot of volume and length (just not as much as original)
Does not clump

Cons

Dryer formula
Color/shimmer does not stand out enough
Glitter gets in eye sometimes and it HURTS LIKE NONE OTHER

Repurchase?? Maybe. It depends on my mood and if there's a sale. I like the original better though. The "subtle hints of color" are too subtle for me. But if I want a really subtle change....or a non waterproof mascara (I have the original in waterproof formula) I'll reach for this. :)

Summer classes have been biting me on the behind with exams after exams. ARGH. I had this review all typed up and ready to go, all I had to do was upload the swatch pictures and I was gooooddd :( but noo. SIGH. I will type it up again anyways beacuse I have all of the swatches anyways.

But yeah, This is a review on the ELF Studio Eyeliner and Shadow Stick. This is a duo product, so it saves alot of room and is basically saves you the hassle of packing a separate shadow and eyeliner. ELF is an EXTREMELY cheapie brand, the majority of their products cost $1.00. I kid you not ONE DOLLAR. But this was from their studio line so it was $3...yes THREE DOLLARS. That's still pretty dirt cheap. There was a sale a while back for 50% all studio products and I went crazy. There was also this free shipping thing and yeah let's just say my credit card bills are in pain.

This product comes in 4 different shades

Black/Smoke
Brown/Basic
White/Pearl
Green/Moss

The names say it all, well, except for basic. It's a pretty light colored brown, kind of bronzy-ish. Here are the swatches

Yeap, They're pretty pigmented. I did however try to use these as a base (the black specifically) and it lasted pretty well before creasing. Because I have oily ass eyelids, cream based cosmetics tend to smudge faster on my eyes without my Urban Decay Primer potion. With Revlon Illuminance cream shadows they smudge 1-1 1/2 hours later, NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencils begin the smudging process 30-45mins later (yes I do time them, haha). These lasted about 2-3 hours. So for people withough oilmines on their eyelids, the shadow stick part would work very well as a base. Oilies though, you might just wanna stick with UDPP as a base and if you really want you can put the shadow stick ontop of that.
The liner. Oh mann, on my top lids, because I have hooded eyelids, the smudged so fast I thought it was the base. But it was the eyeliner. But on the bottom, it was okay. Not the best lasting power, but not the worst. Started smudging after 2-3 hours. So yeah.
Overall this is an okay product for the price of $1.50. But not enough to wow me enough for me to repurchase. :)

Project 10 Pan update

YAYYYY!!! 1 out of 10 products! Geebuz that took forever. But yeah I was bad only once and bought a whole shietload of makeup ONCE ONCEEEE! Will post pictures up in the future when I slowly start using the products. The product that I used up was my Makeup Remover, Lancome's Bifacil. No, I will not repurchas this anymore because I've already found my HG eye makeup remover, which is baby oil! Seriously, this takes off more waterproof mascara than the bifacil, sure it does feel oily but you're supposed to wash your face afterwards, but if you use a cotton pad to wipe it off, it's perfectly fine AND you see how much makeup you took off. So yeah, that's my Project 10 Pan update :)

RIP ELF STUDIO CONCEALER BRUSH

I'm SO SAD! My ELF Studio Concealer brush started shedding like crazy. By that i mean about 1/4 of the left side of the brush is gone. :(

SIGH the brush felt so nice too! It was perfect for packing on shadows, but after less than 5 uses I noticed groups of 5-8 hairs on my browbone and I realized it was dying. boo. Oh wells for a dollar I should have expected it. But it was so softttttt. Argh, I should stop whining and start looking for another packing brush. I'm tempted to buy another one though to test it out and see if it was just the one that I got or if all of them are like that.

Holy shieeeeeeezznit. I have some raving reviews coming up soon! But yes yes. I bought makeup. I know I'd doing Project 10 pan but UGHH just watching youtube videos with makeup guru's hauls gave me an itch to buy cheap cosmetics with AMAZING color payoff. I couldn't help myself. But good news, those purchases were amazing, even with just swatches I feel as if these products would soon become favorites. Second piece of good news though is that I am almost done with my bi-facil makeup remover and IPKN toner, YAY! :) ANYWAYS, I'm heading off to philly tomorrow at the wee crack of dawn for asian grocery shopping with my mom. Revlon Colorstay foundation

So I purchesed the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for oily/combination skin in 300 Golden Beige a couple of weeks back. But because of a major breakout from god knows what (too many new products all at once) I haven't gotten a chance to really use this. So I started using this during my major break out and I'm not sure if this was the cause of the break out or if it was the American Beauty moisturizer I was trying out. So in order for my skin to heal I put these two products away until my skin got a chance to recover. I picked this up a couple of days a go and began using it. A few pimples have popped up but I'm not pointing any fingers yet because I haven't been using my OXY Benzyl Peroxide face wash. I'm hoping it's just a weird coincidence and chance that a few pimples began popping up right when I started to use this product. BUT BUT, I am not writing a review about it just yeeeeetttttt. I will try the product out for another week and we'll see how it turns out. I'm still experimenting with different ways to apply it. :)

Project 10 Pan

What is it you ask? It's the concept of using up or hitting the pan of 10 makeup products to be allowed to buy 1 new make up item. Make up item is not limited to eyeshadow pan/pot but everything from face and liner to lip products with the exception of skin care.

Why?? this is mainly geared for those make up junkies like myself who keep purchasing cosmetics despite already having a product that is equal or close to it. This project helps mak up junkies limit their purchases and forces them to use up their existing makeup, hence decreasing their own lost.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO LAST?

........honestly I cannot say. but I am aiming for at least 1 round of 1o pans. HAHA and when I'm done I am most likely going all out before I start it again. but hey at least I'll be 10 pans down. this is a great concept to follow by because honestly to say this is going to help my wallet SO MUCH. You don't know how much of a struggle it is to pay my credit card bills when they keep racking up because of my makeup purchases >.<

Look into the future: I think my skin care's going first (5 products) and then next would probably be mascara, lip products and then foundation in that order. HOPEFULLY it won't take too long. I've been itching to try some of those cheapie wetn'wild products that apparently work pretty well.

Revlon Colorstay Brow Enhancer

Revlon just recently released in their Colorstay line the Brow wax and Highlighter pen. I was so excited because I love love loveee Revlon's Brow Fantasy brow pencil and gel so I went out and picked this out as soon as I could. Compared to the Brow Fantasy

Instead of the Brow Gel it has a highlighter end, kind of like the MAC shadesticks

Both ends of the pen are automatic so there is no need to sharpen. Just twist till your heart's content!

the Pencil part contains more wax so if pressure is applied, it's gonna plaster your brow hair down, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. You just have to wiggle your eyebrows a little and it'll come back to life

Like the Brow fantasy

the pencil parts are waxy (Colorstay more so than Brow Fantasy)

Pretty long lasting power

you can purchase a lighter color and apply pressure to it to get the color you want

both ends are about half a pen long

The problem with this for me is that I love the brow gel in the Brow Fantasy, but I like the twist up method so much better than the pencil. I also love the highlighter part too! The highlighter is very soft and veratile so it should match all skin tones, and very blendable. SIGH if they came out with a brow pencil will the twist up brow wax and highlighter AND the gel, I would never touch another brand's brow pencil ever again. haha

Pros

The color intensity can be layered if you bought a color too light for you

No reddish tones

the Highlighter is gorgeous and very versatile, so it works with almost any skin tone

Tames brow hairs

Don't need to sharpen because it twists up

The cap is sturdier than the brow Fantasy one (I don't know how many of thsoe I've lost)

Cons

If too much pressure is applied your brow hairs can be plastered to your skin, but with time, or eyebrow wiggles, it'll come back to life

No brow gel :(

Kind of bulky, but so is the Brow Fantasy one

Repurchase? HECK YES. Right now I'm interchanging it with the old one bceause I love the brow gel but I also like the Highlighter. But in the future between the two I think I would probably repurchase this one rather than the other because of the non-sharpening aspect. Not to mention the brow gel tends to last a long time so I could just grab that half of the brow fantasy if I've already used up the pencil part :D HG HG!

SOOOO. Taken into account my eyebrow rant, I've put together a review of my current eyebrow pencil, Revlon’s Brow Fantasy Pencil and Gel liner. I've been using this brow pencil for quiet a while now. I've already gone through 2 and mind you, for me that's ALOT for me taken how often I switch off and use other products. HOWEVER it is not my HG brow pencil, although it is dangerously close.

I think I first tried this out about 2-3 years ago? I don't really remember. But I read alot of reviews about it on makeupalley and beauty blogs for a while before I bought it. Not to mention I was a cheapie back then and didn't wanna fork over 8 bucks for an eyebrow pencil. But for the sake of spending less time in the morning with my grey eyeshadow and brush, I gave in and bought it.

Once I started using it, I was hooked. It saved so much time and glided so nicely. and the gel was a nice addition to my long sparse and unruley brow hairs. However, it wasn't long before I reached the bottom of the pencil, about 6-7 months or so. And that's very dissapointing taken the pencil is actually only 1/3 or 1/2 if you want to be generous, of what a normal brown pencil should be. So you're actually not getting that much product. But, since it came with a nice tinted gel I let that go, especially since it saved me so much more time in the mornings.

I have owned 3 of the colors before, Black, Dark Brown, and Dark Blond for when I was a blond

Pros
-Glides on very nicely. The pencil is very smooth, not harsh at all. Although I would not say they glide on as easy as Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils (example) but they don't tug your skin either. I think they're the perfect softness
-Can build up color. I was using the Dark Blonde when my hair was medium blonde. However currently my hair is a medium brown (supposed to be dark brown but the color faded somewhat) I picked up the dark blonde and used it, and it works fine. It's a little lighter but with just a little more pressure the color went well with my hair. It was a shade or two darker
-Easy to remove with makeup remover
-Color choices go well with just about any type of hair
-The gel tames your brows very well

Cons
-Can fade or melt after a while. But this is taken that the oil on my face are like oil mines.
-Not exactly rub proof since I have a habit of touching my face, my eyebrows no exception. But I do try not to touch them as much
- Little product. Pencil wise I don't think you're getting your money's worth of product. Also the product because it's pretty soft it goes blunt pretty often so you need to have a sharpener handy
-Lasting power isn't as long as I'd prefer (for super oily skin it started melting at around 5-7 hours depending on the weather)

Would I buy this product again?
YES. However I'm still on the lookout for my HG brow pencil. Revlon came out with a brow pencil/highlighter combo in their colorstay line. I'm dying to try that. When I do I'll write a review :)

OMG I'm breaking out like woah. It's not even funny. I don't know what is causing it either! My skin was pretty zit free after i started using OXY with benzyl peroxide. But I don't know what happened. I'm still using the cleanser, but I have also thrown in some other products. OH WOE IS ME. UGH. I'm caught between the Revlon Color Stay foundation and the American Beauty moisturizer. I have an itching feeling that it's the moisturizer because I normally have oily skin but I feel like the moisturizer (which, by the way is geared towards DRY SKIN, I am, mind you, OILY/COMBO however after I wash my face it gets so dry to the point where my skin cracks. And yes I have tried other face washes/exfoliants, same results)

So I read on Soompi that drinking a mixture of Honey and Cinnamon will help people lose weight. I'm a little iffy about the idea, but I'm more interested in it helping control cravings and sugar binges. MEHH. I think I wanna do this and the Idiot-Proof diet, which I started for a day, but didn't quite workout because since I was so restricted from foods, I wanted to eat everything in sight. But within the first day I lost 2.5lbs, which is pretty good for me. And since tomorrow's saturday I can go shopping with mommy and get everything. SIGH. hopefully this will control the cravings. But yeah I'm going to keep and update on everything here.

My top 5 Cosmetic Pet Peeves

EYEBROWS : This is number one on my list, mainly because people now a days take eyebrows for granted. Honestly I believe eyebrows can make or break a look. Without great eyebrows, you're makeup won't be as vibrant and uniform as it should be. In my opinion great eyebrows can define certain facial structures and enhance the eyes, making them pop a little more. It's a little hard to explain but future post coming up aaaalllllll about eyebrows just because it bothers me so much when people have bad or untamed eyebrows
Caked on Foundation : Oh my lordie. I remember in high school the preppy girls would order foundation by the case and bring a new bottle everyday to school because they layered on so much foundation. Okay I'm exaggerating, but still. Even now, when I drive my brother to school I'll see a girl with foundation that's on so thick on her face that it looks like a flesh toned piece of paper mache...even from half a mile away. I swear her face would be 2 inches smaller without that much foundation. HONESTY kids, you are NOT supposed to suffocate your skin by slapping on an inch of foundation. Foundation is not meant to be used to cover up every imperfection. Do you even know how everyone can tell how much foundation you're wearing?? First of all, you are all one color. If someone put a piece of skin colored paper to your face, yeap you almost match except for the eyes. AND AND AND, when you furrow your brows or raise your eyebrows, that leaves a semi permenant crease on your forehead and between the eyebrows...yeap that's not leaving until you take off your makeup. FOR GODS SAKE LET YOUR SKIN BREATH YOUNGIN
Cracked lips : Please, use some chapstick. OUCH, doesn't it crack and bleed and then sting? splotchy red and pink lips are not pretty
Smudged eyeliner : Can we say raccoon??
Fake Bakes : ARGH, same thing with number 2. There are two types, the ones that go the the tanning salon and use the spray on tan thing and ones that cake on bronzer. YO, please stop hurting my eyes with your uniformed dirt or orange colored face. Stop overbaking yourself...PLEASE!!

I'm a tad bit mean, but really. When I see people with these cosmetic don'ts....I really really want to tell them for their own sake and my own sanity. :(

Herbal Essences: Long Term Relationship Leave-In Split End Protector Review

So I grabbed this on friday, looking for something that would un-grease my hair (I don't know why I picked this up instead of baby powder lol). It wasn't until in the car I realized that this was not the spray conditioners that I normally use, I'm pretty stupid lol. But I still used it because since I've permed, bleached and dyed my hair, any type of conditioner would help lots. So I opened it and pumped about 2 pump fulls in my hair, only then to realized that I had pumped wayyyy too much. The leave in conditioner came out as a milky pink cream that smelled of candy, raspberries specifically (YUMM!). I rubbed it all over my hair, carefully avoiding my roots because they were already greasy, focusing on my split ends. At first the conditioner seemed to have a greasy effect on my hair. You know when you first put some type of cream/lotion formed solution in your hair? It had that kind of feeling, and my hair started to glop together in to little chunks. But the more I rubbed it in the softer it made my hair feel. And when I left it alone lookin a little chunky the product sank into my hair and I have no idea when but the last time I touched my hair it was silky smooth and definetly NOT chunky. My hair, especially my ends felt extremely soft! That is a huge feat taken how damaged my hair is. I absolutely love the smell of this product. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED! :)

The best part is that you can use this product on both wet or dry hair! Which many other leave in conditioning products tell you differently. But yeah for the price this is a really really good product!
